Preservative Some designers soak heads in water at room temperature and then mist and cover them with a sheet of plastic, which may be beneficial, especially in hot, dry areas. Dipping flowers in fruit waxes can also help reduce water loss. One example is a Carnauba wax emulsion, such as a 3% solution of FMC Wax 819. After dipping, flower stems can be placed in water until wax dries. |
